Description:

TARGETuner Mobile Antenna Management System provides a controller with intelligent automatic controls for the tunable mobile screwdriver antenna, and a Remote RF Module.

TARGETuner Controller Unit

The control unit is an intelligent, microprocessor based, data and Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) Motor Controller that monitors the transmitter frequency and antenna performance, while managing the antenna motor speed and tuning accordingly.

• Auto-detect complete antenna position sensor range to generate the antenna tuning range.
• Sample, Store and Recall antenna tuning location data based on Transmitter Frequency and best SWR.
• Continuous monitoring of the Forward and Reverse Power Ratio (SWR) of the antenna system and continually adjust the tuning to provide the best antenna efficiency at the transmitter frequency.
• A PWM speed control for the antenna motor with Motor Current and Antenna Position Feedback.
• Motor control direction relative to transmitter frequency and SWR tuning to automatically seek a minimum SWR reading.
• Manual controls also offer the user the ability to adjust the antenna tuning manually, and store new data points for new and favorite frequencies.

The RF Sensing Module

This unit is to be mounted close to the Radio inline with the antenna feed.

West Mountain Radio: KW232 Interface Module

The KW232 Interface Module from West Mountain Radio is a TARGETuner rig control level converter for Kenwood HF Transceivers with an RS-232C CAT jack, such as the TS-480SAT and TS-480HX.

The Model 100A-HP like all the Tarheel Antennas is without a doubt the best built, the best looking, best performing, highest power rating motorized antenna for it’s size and design on the market.

All of our antennas come with the sensors already pre-installed so if you decide to add one of the auto controllers (SDC-100 Simple Controller, SDC-102 Programmable Controller, Turbo Tuner) now or later everything is ready.

What makes our antennas stand above the rest is all of our CNC machined components are either aircraft aluminum or stainless steel and blueprinted, meaning you can take 100 antennas apart and mix up the parts then reassemble them and they all work the same. Our coil form is approximately 2″ in diameter and made of fiberglass. The other antenna builders know fiberglass is better but they choose not to use it because of the expense and difficulty in machining. We use 14 gauge wire for high power capability wound at eight turns an inch for maximum efficiency. The decoupler we use is CNC machined for tight tolerances with custom fingerstock designed to contact 3 turns of coil all the time with over 25 lbs. of combined contact pressure. With this design you can run up to 1.5 Kw P.E.P trouble free. It’s so superior to anything else on the market.

The Pittman 12 volt commercial grade gear motor is very durable and very quiet while receive tuning.

Our weather shield is made of Lexan^TM. This is the same stuff used on racecar windshields and even used to make bulletproof windows.

The Model 100 comes in your choice of colors (Black, White, Red or Silver) using the Dupont Imron 5000 or Powder Coat Paint System. And folks this is not spray paint in a can. With this you get a finish that looks as glossy and last as long as the paint on a new vehicle.

The antenna is a plug & play system. Included is the antenna, manual switch box, 20 ft. of control cable, ferrite decoupling core, base matching coil, 3/8-24 stud, connectors, fuseholder and fuse.

The warranty is simple: For the 1st 30 days if for any reason you are not completely satisfied, return the antenna for a full refund less the shipping charges. The antenna has a ONE YEAR NO MATTER WHAT WARRANTY to the original owner. If for any reason (other than damage due to negligence, improper use or unauthorized disassembly) your Tarheel Antenna fails to perform due to quality or workmanship Tarheel Antennas, Inc. will at our discretion either repair or replace at no charge for parts or labor. Shipping charges are your (the customer’s) responsibility to and from Tarheel Antennas’ repair shop.
