Join the Parrot Amateur Radio Club for a POTA (Parks On The Air) activation at John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park in Key Largo, FL!

We’ve reserved a pavilion right on the beach, so bring your bathing suit, towel, flip-flops, and your favorite radio gear for an unforgettable day in the Florida Keys!
Take a break between POTA contacts to cool off with a swim in the crystal-clear waters, relax on the beach, or simply enjoy the tropical scenery. Restrooms and changing facilities are conveniently located right next to the pavilion, making it easy to switch between operating and swimming.
We’ll have the grill going with delicious BBQ, plus snacks and cold beverages throughout the day. Whether you’re chasing contacts, soaking up the sun, enjoying great food, or just spending time with fellow hams and friends, there’s something for everyone.

This is an open event—everyone is welcome.

- Don’t forget to bring your bathing suit and flip-flops if you’d like to go swimming!
- Restrooms and changing facilities are just a 2–3 minute walk from the pavilion, and
- The beach is conveniently located right next to the pavilion.

The club will be car pooling to reduce fuel and parking costs.
RSVP REQUIRED – Deadline: Wednesday, July 15, 2026
An RSVP is mandatory so we can managing car pooling to Pennekamp.
Please include:
– Number of people attending and equipment (tables, chairs, antennas.)
We also ask participants to share the cost of transportation (vehicle rental, insurance, and fuel),
estimated at $15–$20 per person. Final cost will be determined after RSVP’s are returned.

ParrotARC will be providing a BBQ: Chicken, Hotdogs, Hamburgers, snacks and cold beverages.
